A level is ideal for students who have a clear idea about what they want to study at the university. The programme consists of 3 or 4 subjects that you study over two years and it allows you to gain entry to the most competitive degree courses at a full range of UK universities and beyond.
Entry requirements for 2-year A level programme:
Age: 16+ (15.5 according to individual consideration)
Academic level: 10 or 11 years of schooling, a good school report
Start dates: September, January
English level required: B1+, IELTS 5.0+, TOEFL 61+
Course length: 6, 5 or 3 terms (3 terms = fast track course)
Accommodation: residential or in family

You will study 3 to 4 subjects of your choice, each of them for 4 to 6 hours per week. You can choose from a great variety of subjects, such as Accounting, Art and Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computing, Design & Technology: Systems and Control Technology, Drama & Theatre Studies, Economics, English Language, English Literature, Film Studies, Fine Art, Further Maths, Geography, Government and Politics, History, History of Art, ICT, Mathematics, Media Studies, Music, Photography, Physics, Psychology, Religious Studies, Russian, Sociology, Physical Education, Fashion & Textiles, 3D design or foreign languages (Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin Portuguese, Russian, Spanish). A level helps you to access the most demanding university courses at Top universities in the UK.
- Focused study of 4 subjects in year one, usually reducing to 3 in year two.
- 26-30 hours of teaching per week including English and self-study.
- Assessment takes place via coursework or exams for individual modules throughout the course
- Students with a good level of English and excellent results can study Fast track A level course for duration 5 or 3 terms.
- A level is an internationally recognised qualification for university entrance in many countries around Europe and the world.
A levels provide an in-depth study of your chosen subjects, wherever possible relating them to events happening in the real world. You will learn how to analyse information, think independently and write critically informed and interesting essays.
